Winter Youth League Recreational Team Play

Eligibility

Boys and girls ages 7 (born in 2016) to 18 who are full-time students in public, private, parochial or charter schools are eligible to participate in the Safe Haven West Side Basketball League’s Youth Winter League.

Please note: A new Special Needs program is being developed. Details to follow.

Winter Youth League Registration Fees

  • Full Fee: $175. Tax-deductible contributions above this amount provide scholarship assistance and are very much appreciated.
  • Partial scholarship: Reduced fee of $75. (Please use the code Partial23-24 at the time of registration).
  • Full scholarship: Available to players who attend elementary or middle public schools and to all Special Needs participants. Before creating an account or registering your child, fill out the online Scholarship Request Form or complete a mail-in registration form (details listed below). Upon acceptance of your request, you will be sent instructions regarding registration and payment of $10 administrative fee.
  • Refunds: Full refund of credit card payments can be issued prior to the start of programs. Once a program has started, refunds will be issued at the discretion of the director.

Payment must be made at the time of registration.

PRELIMINARY CALENDAR  FOR THE 2023-24 Basketball Season

October 15 – November 19, 2023: Pre-Season Fall Sundays

November 6, 2023: Registration open for Winter League Team Play

January 6/7 – March 23/24: 2024 Winter League Begins 

*February 20 – 22, 2024: Presidents Week Mini-Camp

*April 23 – 26, 2024: Spring Break Mini-Camp

*April 28 – June 9, 2024: Spring Sundays
